Carolina Ranch Services Policies

Check out time is 12:00pm

Our resort charges by the day with check-out time being at noon, unless it is a Sunday, during which check-out is 9am-10am. Overnight guests checking out after 12:00pm will be charged another day’s rate. The check-in date will be charged as a full day regardless of the check-in time because we are reserving the accommodations for the entire day and the pet will be here overnight. Check-out times may vary on holidays. Please note our holiday hours.

Non Refundable Deposit Policy

We required a $30 non-refundable deposit per pet for your reservation. If the reservation is canceled/revised 1 day prior to drop-off or 5 business days (holiday stay), then the deposit will stay on your account for future services. Otherwise, the non-refundable deposit will be forfeited.

Vaccine and Flea Policies

We highly recommend pets receiving vaccine updates for their stay, be performed a minimum of 7 days prior to check in to provide optimum coverage. Our resort guests are required to be up-to-date on their vaccines (DHPP, Rabies, 6-month Intranasal Bordetella, and stool check for dogs; FVRCP and Rabies for cats) for any day or overnight stay in the resort. If your pet is due for any of their vaccines, they will be examined and vaccinated by our veterinarian at an additional cost. Vaccine records can be faxed to us prior to your pet’s visit if these have been updated elsewhere. All of our boarding friends must have tested negative on a fecal test performed within one year of the participation date of that service. They must also be current on heartworm and flea preventative. Heartworm testing is required annually for all dogs participating in social activities. All our guests are checked for fleas upon arrival. If fleas are found, then treatment will be administered at an additional cost to you. Please tell us the last date of flea preventative application at check-in.

Resort Activities

The owner recognizes that injuries can result from any/all individual activities. Carolina Ranch will uphold the highest level of safety and constant supervision by trained staff members to ensure the safety of your pet. Doggie Daycare is an active playground event. Dogs who are members in our Daycare Program spend the day running, climbing on and jumping off playground equipment, diving into the pool and rough housing (usually involving mouths and paws) with their four-footed friends. We make every attempt to assign our Doggie Daycare participants to compatible play groups whenever possible based on size and temperament. Despite our best efforts, accidents may occur, and injury may result. I agree to pay for any/all medical charges in the event my dog needs medical attention.

Doggie Daycare/Social Activities Policies

In order to minimize risks as much as possible, Carolina Ranch Animal Hospital & Resort requires an initial evaluation day for all dogs entering the Daycare Program for the first time. During this evaluation period, your dog will be slowly introduced to the playgroup in stages. At each stage, your dog will be evaluated based on staff observation. After the initial evaluation phase is satisfied, your dog will enjoy all the fun and exercise the Doggie Daycare Program has to offer! Any questions that may arise during the evaluation day will be addressed in a timely manner, so we can discuss possible alternatives. Please keep in mind that dogs temperaments can change over time and may become necessary to reassess their ability to participate. You understand and accept the risks associated with group play, and agree to allow an initial evaluation to determine if my dog is a good candidate for Doggie Daycare. I further agree that Carolina Ranch Animal Hospital & Resort, its employees, officers and owners will not held responsible for any injury that occurs through the normal course of events associated with Doggie Daycare. I agree to pay for any/all medical charges in the event my dog needs medical attention.

Doggie Daycare participants must be spayed or neutered if entering the program by six months of age or older.

Please note that we take pictures/videos of our Doggie Daycare guests to post on our website, Facebook and Instagram.

Training Policies

You recognize, acknowledge, understand and agree that dog training or a practice session is not without the risk of harm, injury or damage to myself, members of my family, my guests and others who may be in attendance, or my dog. Because some of the dogs, including my own, to which I (we) will be exposed may be difficult to control and cause injury or damage even when managed and handled with the greatest amount of care.

Medical Care and Emergency Care

In the event your pet needs medical attention (this may include, but not limited to, symptoms such as inappetance for more than 1 day, vomiting and or diarrhea) while staying with us, the veterinarians will perform the necessary treatment to protect the health and comfort of your pet. We will call the emergency number provided to inform you and discuss further treatment options as soon as your pet is in stable condition. A veterinarian will always provide basic treatments to stabilize your pet
regardless if we are able to reach you. If you are unreachable, a decision will be made on appropriate treatment at the discretion of the veterinarian. Any costs involved in these procedures are your responsibility at check-out.

Belongings

We provide bedding; however, if you prefer to bring items from home only small blankets are allowed and please limit the number of toys to two (all items must be labeled). We are not responsible for misplaced or damaged items and replacement is not available.

Agreement to Hold Harmless

Barring negligence, Carolina Ranch Animal Hospital & Resort cannot be held responsible for things outside of our control. Training Responsibilities Acknowledgement Policies for the Stay and Learn Day Training Programs

We are happy to work with you to support your continued training efforts! Since dogs are living, breathing
creatures that require time to learn and change behaviors, we don’t guarantee our training, but we are available by telephone or e-mail to help you through any issues or concerns you encounter. We can also schedule more training to help you past any problem areas you may encounter. (Our Stay and Learn and Day Training programs include a lesson with every week of training. These lessons may not be used during your dog’s program but can be scheduled at any time after training is complete at no additional cost.)
