Boarding Policy

Check-out Time!

Our resort charges by the day with check-out time being at noon, unless it is a Sunday, during which check-out is 9am-10am. Overnight guests checking out after 12:00pm will be charged another day’s rate. The check-in date will be charged as a full day regardless of the check-in time because we are reserving the accommodations for the entire day and the pet will be here overnight. Check-out times may vary on holidays. Please note our holiday hours.

Resort Activities

The owner recognizes that injuries can result from any/all individual activities. Carolina Ranch will uphold the highest level of safety and constant supervision by trained staff members to ensure the safety of your pet. Doggie Daycare is an active playground event. Dogs who are members in our Daycare Program spend the day running, climbing on and jumping off playground equipment, diving into the pool and roughhousing (usually involving mouths and paws) with their four-footed friends. We make every attempt to assign our Doggie Daycare participants to compatible play groups whenever possible based on size and temperament. Despite our best efforts, accidents may occur, and injury may result. We will ask you to agree to pay for any/all medical charges in the event my dog needs medical attention.

Vaccine & Flea Policies

We highly recommend pets receiving vaccine updates for their stay, be performed a minimum of seven (7) days prior to check in to provide optimum coverage. Our resort guests are required to be up-to-date on their vaccines (DHPP, Rabies, 6-month Intranasal Bordetella, and stool check for dogs; FVRCP and Rabies for cats) for any day or overnight stay in the resort. If your pet is due for any of their vaccines, they will be examined and vaccinated by our veterinarian at an additional cost.

Vaccine records can be faxed to us prior to your pet’s visit if these have been updated elsewhere. All of our boarding friends must have tested negative on a fecal test performed within one year of the participation date of that service. They must also be current on heartworm and flea preventative. Heartworm testing is required annually for all dogs participating in social activities. All our guests are checked for fleas upon arrival. If fleas are found, then treatment will be administered at an additional cost to you. Please tell us the last date of flea preventative application at check-in.

Prescription Policy

Carolina Ranch veterinarians can only write prescriptions for current medical patients who have had a wellness exam within 12 months and have updated any tests or bloodwork that are medically necessary for the refill of certain medications. 

We understand that ordering through an online pharmacy is convenient, which is why we offer an online ordering system that is safe, secure and reasonably priced for you and your pet. Products purchased through our online pharmacy are backed by the manufacturer, unlike most of the other online options (Vetsource is the only industry-approved veterinary Home Delivery service). Our veterinarians are also happy to accommodate your prescription request with a written prescription that you should be able to have filled at a pharmacy of your choice. Our veterinarians feel an obligation to let you know that they do not recommend purchasing medication from Internet pharmacies that are not FDA Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites, which ensures the medications you receive are not counterfeit, outdated, mislabeled, incorrectly formulated or improperly stored. And while pharmacy certification is very important, it still doesn't verify the source of the products.

For these reasons, our veterinarians will not email, fax or call in prescriptions to any online pharmacy other than Vetsource.

Non-Refundable Deposit Policy

We required a $30 non-refundable deposit per pet for your reservation. If the reservation is canceled/revised one (1) day prior to drop-off or five (5) business days (holiday stay), then the deposit will stay on your account for future services. Otherwise, the non-refundable deposit will be forfeited.
