Carolina Ranch Boarding and Training Policies & Release Form

Please carefully review each policy listed below. We will ask you to sign this form yearly. If you have any questions, a Ranch Team member will be happy to answer them for you at check-in.

  • Check-out time is 12:00 PM

Our resort charges by the day. Overnight guests checking out after 12:00 pm will be charged another day's rate, unless your pet is receiving a groom. The check-in date will be charged as a full day regardless of check-in time because we are reserving the accommodations for the entire day.

  • Vaccine, Flea & Internal Parasite Policies

Our resort guests are required to be up-to-date on their vaccines (DHPP, Rabies, 6-month Bordetella, and fecal exam for dogs; FVRCP and Rabies for cats) for any day or overnight stay in the resort. If your pet is due for any of their vaccines they will be examined and vaccinated by our veterinarian at an additional cost. Vaccine records can be faxed to us prior to your pet's visit if these have been updated elsewhere.

All our guests are checked for fleas upon arrival. If fleas are found, treatment will be administered at an additional cost to you. Please tell us the last date of flea preventative application at check-in.

All of our Doggie Daycare, boarding and training friends must have tested negative on a fecal test performed within one year of the participation date of that service. They must also be current on heartworm and flea preventative. Any dogs participating in Social Play Activities must be neutered or spayed if over 6 months of age.

  • Resort & Training Activities

The owner recognizes that dog training is a sport, and injuries can result from said training. The high-energy activities involved in Doggie Daycare can lead to injury.

Carolina Ranch will uphold the highest level of safety, such as using double-handed leashes and constant supervision by trained staff members to ensure the safety of your pet. Carolina Ranch is released of any liability when walking your pet outside.

  • Owner Responsibilities While at the Ranch

It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure the security and safety of their pet in the Carolina Ranch parking area as well as in the Lobby. Retractable leashes must be kept locked at a length of no more than four (4) feet while inside the Carolina Ranch facility.

Owners must maintain safe distances from other clients while on Carolina Ranch premises. Minor children should not oversee the security of animals in the lobby area unless the child is at least double the weight of the animal.

  • Belongings

We provide bedding; however, if you prefer to bring items from home only small blankets are allowed and please limit the number of toys to two (all items must be labeled). We are not responsible for misplaced or damaged items and replacement is not available.

  • Emergency Care

In the event your pet need medical attention while boarding, the veterinarians will perform the necessary treatment to protect the health and comfort of your pet. We will call the emergency number provided to inform you (the owner) and discuss further treatment options as soon as your pet is in stable condition. A veterinarian will always provide basic treatments to stabilize your pet regardless if we are able to reach you. If you are unreachable, a decision will be made on appropriate treatment at the discretion of the veterinarian. Any costs involved in these procedures are your responsibility at check-out.

Please check the appropriate box below stating whether you approve or decline emergency care. By selecting "DECLINE" you understand that you may be compromising the life and/or health of your pet. You are releasing Carolina Ranch Animal Hospital & Resort from any liability resulting in injury or the death of your pet.

  • Agreement to Hold Harmless

Barring negligence, Carolina Ranch Animal Hospital & Resort cannot be held responsible for things outside our control. This includes, but is not exclusive to, illness or injury that may occur while your pet is being boarded, trained or participating in Doggie Daycare.

By typing my full name in the box below, I hereby waive and release Carolina Ranch Animal Hospital & Resort and its team members from any liability associated with boarding, training or daycare of my pets.
