Nicole was raised in Bunn, NC, a small one-stoplight town in Franklin County. She graduated with Honors from Bunn High School and later graduated with High Honors from Nash Community College with an Associate in Arts.
Nicole got her official start in the animal care industry in 2015 as a kennel technician with a multi-location pet resort company. Within a year, she was promoted to facility manager of a single location and provided supervisory support to the additional facilities as needed. During her time as facility manager, Nicole found a need and interest in veterinary marketing and graphic design. From creating functional cage cards for monitoring pet behaviors while boarding, to creating original graphic designs for social media and printed advertising, her love of veterinary based marketing and design flourished. After watching The Ranch from the sidelines through her (then) fiancé’s involvement as a dedicated employee, Nicole took the plunge and joined the Ranch Team in August 2017 as a receptionist with the objective of helping manage the Ranch’s social media pages. Since then she’s proactively shifted her title to Social Media and Marketing Coordinator. Nicole currently oversees The Ranch’s six social media pages, creates content and graphics for each, organizes events for clients and staff alike, and maintains the various signage and décor around the facility.
Nicole met her husband, Zach, our Assistant Resort Manager, in July of 2015 and bonded immediately over their love of animals and their similar work environment. They share their home with two boisterous kitties, Nemo and Lottie, a young Great Dane, Sullivan, and their newest addition, a newborn baby boy.
